About us:

McQuillan & Associates Pty Ltd has offered comprehensive English <=> German language services for 20 years. We can meet all your English <=> German language needs efficiently and reliably through one central point of contact:

• Translation (written word), including desktop publishing;
• Conference interpreting, both simultaneous and consecutive;
• Localisation;
• Subtitling.

Our company, located in Sydney, Australia, services the local as well as the international market. Overseas clients often make use of the time difference between their locations and Australia in order to get urgent overnight work done during Australian business hours.

Most of our translation work is done on our premises by Claudia Koch-McQuillan, a highly qualified native German speaker with 20 years' experience in translating and interpreting. Claudia has worked as a freelance translator and interpreter for a number of national and international organisations. Her clients have included:

Claudia is a member of AIIC, the International Association of Conference Interpreters, ITI, the UK Institute of Translation and Interpreting, and AUSIT, the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators. She has also been a member of the German Examiners' Panel of the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters since 1993 and has taught translation studies at university level.

Claudia's main areas of specialisation are legal, medical and technical translations. Any material that exceeds our in-house scope of abilities will be referred to suitably qualified external translators and subjected to a rigorous quality check before being returned to you. Naturally you can rest assured that your materials will be treated with full confidentiality.

As professional translators and interpreters all our staff are bound by stringent ethical codes such as the AUSIT Code of Ethics.
